Zoning Board of Appeals
March 18, 2008

The Board of Appeals met Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in the conference room of the Planning & Development Office.  The following members were present:  Gene Riggins, Chairman, Roy McCall, Jim Stuckey, Carey Beard, Ken Rackley.  Kim Welborn was absent from the meeting.

The following item was presented to the board:

Variance Request

Kenneth Haught, 509 Old Stagecoach Road, Easley, South Carolina made application for a variance for an addition which he wants to build on his property.  He is requesting a maximum of 5 foot side setback variance on a garage/carport addition (on one side of the house) and another maximum side setback of 5 ft (on the other side of the house) for a deck only.

Mr. Gene Riggins, Chairman, opened the meeting and presented to the board letters from the neighbors on both sides of the property.  The neighbors are in approval of the variance request.

After a brief discusssion, Ken Rackley made a motion to accept the request, seconded by Carey Beard.  The variance was unanimously granted for a maximum of 5 ft side setback/corners.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
