ARCHITECTURAL BOARD MEETING
November 12, 2009

The Architectural Board met Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. with the following members present: Mr. Shea O’Brien, Mrs. Jennifer McAlister, Mr. Allan Fortner, and Mr. Kevin Ross. Absent from the meeting was Chairman, Mr. Alan Ducker, Mr. Jeff Fogle, and Mr. Chris Youngblood.

Mr. Allan Fortner, acting chair called the meeting to order. There is one item on the agenda.

106 South Pendleton Street-The Occasional Bunny–Judy Lail and Janet Tindle- presented a sign application for this building. A wooded sign green (greenwave green) she provided a sample and it will be (vinyl on wood) and they went a little darker green because they knew it was going to fade overtime with the sun. There will be white lettering on the windows. Jennifer mentioned the body of the sign she proposed a recommendation that the body of the sign be the same color as the building (beige/kacky color) so it would look like part of the building. Judy mentioned they planned on white being the body of the sign but she would look into doing the body the same color as the building. The black lettering and the white rabbit on the sign would stand out with the back ground the same color as the building or try and keep the signage similar to Dun Burks the same colors as the building black and beige. It would also keep the look of the logos they are trying to keep in the downtown area. The board is trying to keep the downtown area to stay with the earth tone colors for more of an upscale look.
.

With no further discussion all members voted in favor with no objections.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
